It has been confirmed the second season for the anime That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken)

Through the official Twitter account of the television anime series That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime (Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken) announced on Sunday that the production of a sequel has been approved by 2020.

 The television anime of Taiki Kawakami's manga premiered on October 1. FUNimation Entertainment is broadcasting a dub in English. Episode 23 of the anime aired on March 11 as the final episode of the main story. The program will broadcast two more episodes during the next two weeks. Episode 24 is titled "Kuro to Kamen" (Black and Mask), and is scheduled for March 18. The episode will be an original anime story that shows a meeting between Shizu and Diablo. The additional episode 25 is entitled "Veldora Nikki" (The newspaper of Veldora) and will be broadcast on March 25.

Yasuhito Kikuchi (Infinite Stratos, Macross Frontier) directs the anime in 8-Bit, with Atsushi Nakayama (Absolute Duo) as assistant director. Ryouma Ebata (Busou Shinki, Magical Warfare) is adapting the character designs for the animation. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes, Girls' Last Tour, Recovery of MMO Junkie) is in charge of the composition of the series. Takahiro Kishida (Spring and Chaos, Serial Experiments Lain, Knight's & Magic) is in charge of the design of monsters. Elements Garden is composing music.

Fuse launched the series story on the "Shōsetsuka ni Narō" website (Let's Become Novelists) from 2013 to 2016. Micro Magazine began publishing the series in print in 2014, and the 13th volume was published last September. Taiki Kawakami launched the manga adaptation of Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Sirius magazine in 2015. Kodansha published volume 10 on December 7.
